Monday, January 24th 2022
24th January 2022 was the first day of mobility in Zespol Szkol im. Jana Kasprowicza, Jelcz-Laskowice, Poland. This is the third mobility in the Erasmus+ KA2 project S.T.E.P.+. The topic of the mobility is accessible tourism. 9 students and 4 teachers from France, 10 students and 3 teachers from Poland participated in project activities during this mobility. Unfortunately due to covid pandemy schools from Croatia and Italy couldn't be present on this meeting.
On the first day, there was an official welcome at school. International teams were created and the survival kit was introduced - French students learned basic Polish phrases. Later students presented their presentations prepared earlier about tourist places in their regions which were not adjusted to disabled people. They showed to each other their solutions. After lunch students listened to the presentation of Polish student about 'Green Umbrella' Voluntary Service Centre. This organisation works with disabled people in Jelcz-Laskowice and its area.
In the welcome party, students and teachers were socialising with each other, sharing with each other their experiences and teaching how to dance their traditional dances.
The first day was a combination of serious work and meeting each other through many ice breaking games and activities.

The second day of mobility was full of various visits . It started with official welcome at the district office in Oława (which supports Zespol Szkol financially). After that students and teachers visited The Association for Help for Children called "Rainbow" - the organization that aims to help people with disabilities, located also in Oława. Participants met the problems of the disabled and also the ways of helping them to function in everyday life. At the end of the visit students and teachers ate lunch at the restaurant conducted by the "Rainbow" Association, where handicapped people work. In the afternoon, all mobility participants were welcomed at the City and Village council in Jelcz-Laskowice. They briefly discussed the project itself, its topics, activities and future plans.
After the visit there was a walking tour of the town, showing the students places which are not adapted to people with disabilities: the pond in Jelcz-Laskowice, the museum of Jelcz-Laskowice and the ruins of old castle in Jelcz - Laskowice. Students were to think about the problem how the sights can be made accessible to people with disabilities.

The fourth day of the mobility included hard work on project tasks. Students were divided into 4 international teams. Their task was to adjust one chosen place from the ones which were seen during the trip in Jelcz on Tuesday to be accessible for disabled people. Students could use their private observations and also the information taken from the"Green Umbrella" Voluntary Service Center and from the trip to Wrocław. Each team had one teacher involved in order to help them and give any necessary advice.
Later a teacher training session was held by Katarzyna Stala-Kondrakiewicz on the topic of Destination Imagination Project in which Polish school is anually involved. Teachers were very interested and asked many questions concerning this international Project.
At the end of the day there was a surprise. Teachers and students visited the Sports Centre in Jelcz-Laskowice. They met traditional folk music band Świtezianie and listened to their music. The aim of this visit was to know some customs of polish culture. It was a very nice and pleasant evening.
