Jelcz-Laskowice
Jelcz-Laskowice is one of the many cities located in the Silesian Lowland, which lies in the southwest of Poland. The distance from Wrocław in the south-east direction is about 25 kilometers, 20 kilometers from Oleśnica in the south direction and 10 kilometers northeast of the city of Oława. In the years 1975-1998, the towns of Jelcz and Laskowice Oławskie, from which the city was founded, administratively belonged to the province of Wroclaw. The city was founded on January 1, 1987, from the merger of Jelcz (an industrialized village - there was a large bus and truck factory - Jelcz) and Laskowice Oławskie (housing facilities for the enterprise). It is a car junction on the routes connecting Jelcz-Laskowice with Wrocław, Oława and Oleśnica and an important station on the northern line Wrocław - Opole.The main river is the Odra River flowing through a fragment of the southern border of the city. Other, smaller watercourses are Bierzwienna, Młynówka Jelecka and delineating the northern administrative border of the city of Laskowicka Woda. According to data from January 1, 2011, the city's area was 17.06 km².
Zespół Szkół im. Jana Kasprowicza
Zespoł Szkół im. Jana Kasprowicza is the only secondary school in Jelcz-Laskowice. Presently it offers such fields of study as: general secondary education, IT technical college and vocational school. It counts about 400 students and 35 teachers.
The school running authority is the District Office in Oława. Students of vocational schools undergo internships in nearby companies. From the 2019/2020 school year, the company Toyota based in the vicinity of the school, has created a class whose students will have practical classes at the company's headquarters. In the future, these students will certainly find work as mechanics there.
Since 2018 Zespół Szkół im. Jana Kasprowicza takes part in Erasmus+ Projects both for teachers (KA1) and students (KA229).
