About our Project
The countries involved in the project have developed mass tourism in strategic geographical areas - coastal cities and capital cities. However, alternative forms of tourism have not been developed in the often economically deprived mainland areas, the potential of which is enormous. These regions have rich cultural heritage either in the form of landmarks, intangible cultural heritage, customs, old crafts or traditional gastronomy.
Even the students who live in these regions are not completely familiar with that. this project will make all students of the participating schools aware and proud of their own cultural heritage and that of other countries, in order to preserve it, pass it on to new generations, share it with others and help develop the regions they live in. they will be able to develop a sustainable approach to it.
AIMS
In this project, we want the students to understand that they can be actors, and engage themselves in a society and as a challenge, they can take an active part in building a career, shaping their future in a Europe which is becoming ever more global. We want to strengthen the link between school education, local environment and working world, connecting general and vocational schools in the project, and also strengthening the student's self esteem and socio-emotional skills.
We want to inspire students to take actions improving their attainment at school, feel more included into our education system as well as in the society, and thus reduce the risk of early school leaving.
We also want to promote European awareness and make the students realize that being part of a society depends on being flexible, understanding different cultures, mastering foreign languages and being prepared for learning / working in cooperation.
WORK PROCESS
Project activities will take place as collaborative work before, during and after the transnational learning/teaching/ training meetings. We will use the twinspace of the project to exchange in between meetings and publish our work.
All partners will work in collaboration and the activities will be varied. I.e. surveys, workshops, theatre or film sequences, recordings, letters, posters, PowerPoint presentations, articles, etc.
There will be four topics studied: disability, ecology, cultural heritage, entrepreneurship.
EXPECTED RESULTS
The final product will develop digital skills and creativity. It will be done in collaboration further to the exchanges taking place during meetings, which will enrich the reflection of students and teachers.
